How to share your Google Sheet
Share your distributor's price list in 4 simple steps. We only need view access — we never edit your sheet.
📂 Open your price list in Google Sheets
Make sure the file is already open in Google Sheets (not Excel or another app). If it's an .xlsx file, upload it to Google Drive first — Drive will offer to convert it automatically.
🔗 Open the sharing settings
Click the green "Share" button in the top-right corner. Or go to File → Share → Share with others.
🌐 Set access to "Anyone with the link"
Under "General access", click the dropdown that says "Restricted" and change it to "Anyone with the link". Make sure the permission level is set to Viewer (not Editor).
✓ Viewer access only — we never modify your data.
✂️ Copy the link and paste it in ReplyDost
Click "Copy link" and paste it into the "Google Sheets link" field when adding a price list source in your ReplyDost dashboard.
✅ What the link should look like
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BxiMVs0XRA5nFMdKvBdBZjgmUUqptlbs74OgVE2upms/edit?usp=sharingThe long ID in the middle is your sheet's unique identifier. We extract it automatically.
Common questions
Q: What if my file is an Excel (.xlsx) file?
Upload the .xlsx to Google Drive → right-click → Open with → Google Sheets. Google converts it automatically. Then share the Google Sheets version.
Q: Do I need to share a new link every time I update prices?
No. Share the link once and set a sync schedule (e.g. Daily or Every Monday). ReplyDost fetches the latest data from the same link automatically.
Q: What if my sheet has multiple tabs (HP, Canon, Brother…)?
Enter the exact tab name in the “Sheet / Tab name” field when adding the source. Or add multiple sources — one per tab — each syncing to a different section of your menu.
Q: Is my price data secure?
Anyone with the link can view the sheet — the same as you sharing a price list PDF over WhatsApp. We only read the data; we never store your Google credentials.
